April 2nd, 2024 – exactly one year ago – was an important date for us.
Construction officially began on a new wellness hotel on the property adjacent to Hotel La Palma, with the aim of creating a significant addition to the luxury hospitality landscape on Lake Maggiore.
This ambitious project has been entrusted by the Zanetta family, owners of Hotel La Palma, to the architecture and interior design firm NOA, renowned for its expertise in hospitality design.
The project involves the renovation of three historic villas — Villa Basile, Villa Marina, and Villa Ielmini — and the construction of six new buildings, all set within a 12,000 m² park. In addition, a Spa of over 2,300 m² will be created, conceived as a multi-level garden.
The villas, dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, will be restored while preserving their historic character, while the new buildings will feature contemporary architecture.
The complex will include a total of 90 rooms, 70 of which will be in the new buildings and 20 in the historic villas.
This new project aims to offer an innovative vision of luxury hospitality, where the historic charm of the villas blends harmoniously with contemporary design and the natural beauty of Lake Maggiore, promising an unforgettable experience of well-being and relaxation.
We are working to ensure that construction does not interfere with the experience of Hotel La Palma’s guests during the 2025 season, and we will always be available to provide updates and further details on the progress of the work for those who are interested.
Our new journey has begun, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
