Also this year, as has been the case since 2012, our Hotel has obtained the EMAS Verified Environmental Certification.
Hotel La Palma, in order to assess and improve its environmental performance, while monitoring the management of its internal activities and compliance with applicable environmental regulations, has decided to implement for years now an Environmental Management System in compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and the EMAS Regulation.
In recent years there has been a growing awareness that the development of tourism and tourism-related activities cannot take place without environmental issues and an approach oriented towards environmental sustainability.
In particular, the EMAS Regulation is the eco-management and audit scheme promoted by the European Community (EC Reg. n. 1221/2009 as amended and supplemented) to which any organisation that intends to evaluate and improve its environmental performance by providing the public with validated environmental information can adhere and represents the highest environmental recognition at European level to which companies and organisations, both public and private, can aspire through a voluntary path.
We are happy to communicate that the goals achieved in recent years and the awards obtained can testify to the levels of excellence in the management, conservation and enhancement of the environmental aspects of the Hotel and the commitment to the constant improvement of its performance.
